    No recomendado para lluvia

Posted by Jonathan on 8th Aug 2025

About 25 years ago my dad worked as a machinery operator in Ecuador specifically in Chimborazo and for this reason the company he worked for gave him a Refrigiwear paraka and it was very good, it was really waterproof and very warm, so I really liked this parka, even when they had burned it due to confusion, after a few years I tried to buy it but I didn't really know what the brand name of this parka was, but after several years of searching I found it and I had an illusion that it was of the same quality as 25 years ago, now that I have it I have noticed that it is not of the same quality as 25 years ago and it is also missing the belt with the carabiner that it had at the waist, the arm cuffs are not of the same quality before they were made of cotton and very warm and now they are like polyester, and most importantly the exterior of the paraka was made of nylon and not a drop of water entered when it rained, currently it is still made of nylon but water enters through the seams, today in Ecuador it rained hard and I had to go see some calves in the middle of the rain, the surprise is that a lot of water got in through the seams and the seams of the label, I do not recommend it for rain, I will soon do a full review in Spanish of this parka on YouTube.

    I own the iron tuff

Posted by Alan A. on 19th Mar 2025

I own the iron tuff overalls they have saved me lots of times from power outage times to just wanting to lay down in the snow and take a nap. so if this iron tuff ice parka is anything like the iron tuff overalls i'm going to be warm just going to the grocery store in the winter.

    Awesome coat

Posted by Gabrielle J. on 24th Dec 2024

I bought this coat for 30 degree weather (at or slightly below freezing) and I think it was probably overkill for that. I only tried it on before realizing the fit was not right for me, and I was very very toasty. I ended up returning it because the arms were a just a little long for me; the coat is designed for someone taller than me (I am 5’5”). I’m sad about that because the coat made me look really cool.

Moving up a level from carhartt !

Posted by Robert I. on 28th Nov 2024

Hi everyone ! I've been a refrigiwear believer for about for or five years now and I have been very happy with every piece of work wear I've got . But I needed a cold weather parka style coat that would keep me warm and be tough enuff to wear outdoors in the woods and not snag or tear easily against Briars and evan barbed wire . And the iron tuff ice parka has been so far the best cold weather coat I've ever wore ! Again I'm over the moon happy with all my hoodies and my latest purchase . It's super light weight and it wears like a jacket . You don't feel like your wearing a big bulky coat . The warmth is second to none , it's easy to put on too many layers and then the iron tuff parka , but believe me you won't need much more than a long sleeve t shirt . Thanks to all the men and women of refrigiwear . One very happy customer .

I accidentally ordered XL and it's too large I wanted to return it to get a large one but I took the tags off already and not sure if I can send it back now.
