The best winter coat on the market

Posted by James on 21st Oct 2019

I have been a Refrigiwear customer for about 40 years. I recently bought a jackoat to replace my 40 year old coat I love the new coat but in all honesty I still wear my 40 year old coat at times when the weather is real messy I do not want to get my new one dirty. My old coat is still in good shape but is showing some signs of wear. My new coat is warmer then my old coat the padding is much thicker in the new coat . In my opinion refrigiwear coat are the best warm coats on the market and wear like iron for many many years.

    Good coat.

I was in a hurry to buy and it was past January so my choices were limited (out of stock). I was going to Tobolsk Russia (western edge of Siberia) in February and was concerned about the weather. While it never got below -16F this coat did a wonderful job. In fact, once it got around +20F I began to think it was too hot. particularly if I was doing any activity.

    Milwaukee,WI -55 windchill temp-23

Posted by Jim on 1st Feb 2019

former employer bought me 2 sets (bibs and coat) several years ago. New employer refueling aircraft at MKE buys a different manufacturer, during the harsh winter storm Jan 2019 temps dropped to -27 F at times with windchill approaching -60 F. Co workers were cold and taking turns seaking warm shelter because what they had was not keeping the cold out; mean while I in the iron Tuff with no additional layers underneath just kept going. Now they want the boss to purchase them some.

Posted by John on 8th Nov 2018

I've used RefrigiWear products since 1986.The last coat I've had since 1994. I wore that coat until I bought the new one a month ago. This is a strong warm durable product.

Your sizes do not match your old sizes ... I have had 3 of these in the last 40 yrs and have always had extra large to be able to wear clothing under them ... these new ones that I just sent back were xlarge and they were a size to small ... waiting for my refund ... then I will reorder the next size up

My Dad bought me a jackoa

Posted by Mike S. on 11th Jan 2018

My Dad bought me a jackoat when I was in high school, about 1967 or '68. Served me well for many decades, but was looking pretty shabby a few years ago, and the zipper had long ago given up. I decided to replace it but I had no idea who had made the thing or what size it was because all identifying labels were missing or unreadable. After some internet searching, I solved the mystery, and ordered a new one. A very tough, wind-proof, water repellent and good looking coat!

Posted by Jim on 1st Dec 2017

I am a Fan of Refrigiwear coats my present jacket is about 35 years old and I still wear it every day in the winter it is the best Jacket out there. I had it rebuilt about 10 years ago they replaced the zipper, cuffs, top of the pockets where they were frayed. It still looks great today. I did buy this new one and I will wear it when I am not working and keep it for special occasions. If you buy one of these Coats you will not be disappointed.
